The other issue with the PHX lounge in T4 is that it's a fair hike from the vast majority of the gates. Spills occur, but no one was interested in cleaning up. Please sir, can I have some more? No - that's all that was left. If they were my staff they'd no longer be employed by me. I have complained to Amex directly about this, pointing out that irrespective of who directly employs the staff they represent the company. We're not employed by American Express" which usually comes with a sizeable chunk of bad attitude. The biggest complaint though is that every time we've tried to speak with someone at the lounge to complain their immediate response is "It's not our responsibility. There were no glasses available at the water / ice tea dispensers while we were there. The solitary, pathetic offering is in the small cast pan. As you can see from the photos they were (almost) out of the short ribs but they offered to bring some from the Escape lounge. The buffet was filthy, with almost no choice. When we did get in I was seriously underwhelmed. Of course, a lot of people at the top of the list (where the "Time Waited" for the first five on the list was between 61 and 82 minutes) had already given up and left / caught their flights so, for us, we'd have potentially been waiting over 2 hours to get in - even though we were stood at the entrance watching people leave. The problem was exacerbated by the fact that the lounge insisted on giving those on the waitlist 10 minutes to get to the lounge.

On all the other occasions the Centurion lounge was closed, the Escape lounge open, but a horrendous waitlist. Our most recent visit (mid-September) was the only occasion when we actually managed to get in. My wife and I have tried to access the PHX T4 lounges on multiple occasions recently. centurion lounge American Express employs Meehan as the exclusive Mixologist for its peerless network of premium airport lounges, whose culinary component combines the cuisine of renowned chefs in each market with a wine list curated by Anthony Giglio.
